Burning Moulin: A new participatory gathering in a French countryside mill
Burning Moulin is an upcoming artistic and participatory gathering that will take place from July 7 to 14, 2025, in a former countryside mill near Nevers, in Burgundy, France.
Its mission is clear: create a deeply human, artistic, and communal experience, rooted in generosity, contribution, and shared creativity.
The place: an old mill turned artistic camp
The site includes 250 hectares of forest, fields, and ponds, with barns, stables, a repurposed pigsty, shared kitchen, showers, and open areas for theme camps and installations.

What’s planned (and what’s yet to come)
Burning Moulin is not a commercial festival. Everyone is invited to co-create the event. So far, the vision includes:
-
7 burns (one each night)
-
Artcars to roam the site
-
DJ sets and live music in the forest, barns, and by the water
-
Open-air cinema with curated films
-
Workshops of all kinds
-
Art installations and chill spaces in unexpected places
-
Fire shows, dance, theater and any performance you dare offer
-
Collective meals and shared kitchen shifts
-
The core team
The project is led by a passionate team of seven, including:
